San Diego State University's Capacity Building Success recognizes the urgent need to more effectively serve individuals with disabilities from underrepresented and underserved groups.
Our main purpose is to promote and enhance the participation of minority entities and Indian tribes in Rehabilitation Services Administration and National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research funded activities.
- Member of a minority entity "an entity that is a historically Black college or university, a Hispanic-serving institution of higher education, an American Indian tribal college or university, or another institution of higher education whose minority student enrollment is at least 50 percent, and Indian tribes." (Dept. of Education - OSERS, CFDA #84.315, March 1999, p. A1).
- Proposal idea(s) focused on disability-related issues and/or targets persons with disabilities.
- Individuals from underrepresented groups, especially individuals with disabilities, are strongly encouraged to apply.
