International Student Policy
-
Recently the US Department of Homeland Security put strict guidelines in place for online degree programs offered in the United States. 33 of the 40 required MS in Regulatory Affairs (MSRA) degree units are offered online. The remaining 7 units are required business courses, which are not offered online. They are local lecture courses offered at SDSU. Because a majority of the MSRA degree courses are offered online, foreign students accepted to the MSRA degree program will not be able to obtain a student visa to pursue the entire degree in San Diego/within the US.
-
Foreign students may apply and can be accepted to the MSRA degree program. Any foreign student accepted to the program may pursue the degree from their home country. With respect to the required business courses that are not offered online, foreign students may take comparable graduate level courses online through Capella University, an accredited university in the US. These units will be transferred towards the MSRA degree. As an alternative, foreign students may be able to obtain a student visa good for 1 semester to complete the required business courses at SDSU. For more details regarding applying to the MSRA degree program as a foreign student and student visa information, please contact the International Student Center at http://www.sa.sdsu.edu/isc/contactus.htm.
