Candidates for
admission will typically come from one of the disciplines offered
in the life sciences, physical sciences, or engineering.

Procedures
General graduate admission requirements can be found at the Office of Admissions website at http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/admissions/grad/index.html.
For program-specific application requirements for Regulatory Affairs, go to http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/admissions/grad/programs/regulatory_affairs_ms.html.
Note that you must apply to both the University and the Regulatory Affairs Department.
Items to be submitted to the department are:
- Three Letters of Recommendation. At least two
of these letters should come, when possible, from professors, supervisors
or business associates who can discuss knowledgeably your leadership
and academic abilities, accomplishments and potential. The form for letters of recommendation can be found at http://gra.sdsu.edu/grad/letterofrec.html. These recommendations should be sent directly from the recommender to the Graduate Advisor.
- Applicant Essay. This essay should include a description
of your long- and short-term career goals, and the ways in which
you believe this degree will help you to achieve them. You will
submit this essay as part of your application through CSU
Mentor. A copy should also be sent to the Graduate Advisor.
- Resume of Work Experience. The resume should be in reverse-chronological order and include
job titles, organizations (nature of business), locations, dates
of employment, and a summary of duties and responsibilities for each position held.
Your resume should be sent to the Master of Science in Regulatory
Affairs office (address below). Please also include a link to your profile on LinkedIn.
- One copy of all official transcripts. Note that this copy is in addition to the two copies sent to Graduate Admissions as part of your application to the university.

Incomplete application
packets will not be reviewed.
Individuals not admitted
or not wishing to be admitted to the degree program may enroll
in individual Regulatory Affairs courses through the College
of Extended Studies. Four courses (12 units) taken prior to admission can be transferred into the masters degree program.

for Non-U.S. Applicants
In addition to applying to the University and to the program, applicants who are not U.S. citizens should contact the San
Diego State University (SDSU) International
Student Center for further information.
All applicants for whom
English is not their first language will be required to submit results
of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test scores
as part of their application. All applicants who have not attended
secondary or postsecondary educational institutions where English
is the language of instruction for AT LEAST 3 YEARS of full-time
transferable level enrollment (12 to 15 transferable units per
semester, but no ESL) must submit a TOEFL score of 550 paper-based;
213 computer-based or 79 internet-based. The TOEFL must be taken
in addition to the GRE. More information about this test may
