ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

ASSIGNMENTS
Following is a an outline of the semester assignments.  More detail regarding each assignment will be provided in class or individually as needed.  The assignments are divided into four major categories:  reading, written, oral, and electronic communications. Following is an outline of the assignments for this course. Written assignments turned in late will be reduced 25% for each class period the assignment is late.

A. Readings

  1. The required texts.
  2. All handouts distributed in class.

All reading materal assigned should be read prior to the class in which it will be discussed.

B.Written.

All assignments must be typewritten or word processed, double spaced and typed on one side of the paper.  Allow adequate margins for comments.  Include pertinent data (your name, course, assignment) on the first page.

C. Oral

  1. In-class discussion.
  2. Presentation of multicultural education project.

All students are expected to contribute to class discussions, on a regular basis.  All discussions and presentations will be conducted in a professional manner.

D. Electronic Communications

You will participate in an Electronic Discussion Forum as part of Blackboard with the instructor and other class members.  Blackboard web site is blackboard.sdsu.edu.
