Dear ARP 631 Student:
Welcome to our course, Instructional Methods and Materials
in Postsecondary Education. This course is offered for students enrolled
in MA or MS programs throughout the campus. If you are interested in
teaching in a community college, college or university, proprietary
school, adult education program, or in a technical college, this course
is for you!
In this class, we will learn; how to prepare for teaching,
how students learn, effective interactive instructional practices, and
how to evaluate student learning. This course should provide you with
the tools to develop a powerful learning environment for any course,
workshop, seminar, or training program you deliver.
Learning is often characterized as a "shared journey".
We are now traveling this road together!
Best wishes for a successful learning experience,
Dr. William E. Piland
Professor of Education
