In order to further develop higher order thinking and
written communications skills, you will reflect on various
aspects of your learning during the semester. These reflections
require that you think as deeply as you can about your
own personal beliefs and feelings about what you are learning.
Superficial reflections are not acceptable. As the semester
progresses, you should try to become more reflective and
strive to improve the quality of thought and writing.
Your reflections can be handwritten in a notebook (providing
you have a legible handwriting) or typed or word-processed
on separate sheets of paper that will eventually be bound
together.
A. How I Learn (Due
2/24)
Describe how you learn best. How do you know this?
Do you think other people learn like you do? Why or
why not?
B.
What I Know About Adults in Educational Settings (Due
3/24)
Have you seen "older students" in any of your undergraduate
classes? Why do you think they were there? What was
the interaction between them and the instructor, other
students, you? What are your thoughts about adults
in the classroom now?
C. Readings? (Due 2/24,3/24,/5/5)
You must discuss each chapter in the text. What did
you learn from the readings? What do you think of them?
Why do you think that? How can you use what you learn?
D. Classroom Activities (Due 2/24,3/24,5/5)
You should have some reflective thoughts about each
class session you attend, especially about you can
use what you learned. Some classes might produce few
thoughts while others may be more fertile.
