COURSE REQUIREMENTS

ARP 611 - Curriculum Theory and Development in Postsecondary Education
Course and program development and evaluation, creating a learning centered syllabus, infusing multicultural and diversity content into courses, developing problem-based learning.

 

ARP 631 - Seminar in Instructional Methods & Materials: Postsecondary Education
Interactive teaching techniques, using technology in instruction, applying multicultural teaching approaches, evaluating student learning, focus on improving student learning.
ARP 730 - Seminar in Adult Learning
Facilitating adult learning, adult developmental needs, student learning styles, adult program and course development.

 

ARP 760 - Internship in Community College Teaching

Working with a community college mentor and gaining experience in community college teaching.

 

Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Postsecondary Educational Leadership, with a certificate in community college teaching
