Center for Emerging Leadership Parent Workshop Series
Offering Bi-Monthly workshops for parents of youth and young adults. Designed to provide information about resources and supports in areas of employment, community living, recreation, that are available in the community.

Chapter Meetings
2nd Saturday of every month
10:00AM to 12:30PM
Balboa Park Club in Balboa Park.
Chapter meetings are open to self-advocates, parents, and support staff. Doughnuts and coffee are served before the meeting for fifty cents each. Lunch follows the meeting and costs $4.50. Educational presentations are made during the meetings.

The Speakers Bureau are People First Members who go out into the community and speak on topics relevant to individuals with developmental disabilities. Last year the Speakers Bureau gave presentations on relationships, disability awareness, person centered planning at SDRC case management training, and self-advocacy. They are involved with the TRACE Program, Center for Emerging Leadership, Interwork Institute's Project LEADERS.
Parent Advocates Seeking Solutions (PASS)
3rd Thursday of each month, 7:00 pm
Audience: Parents of children with developmental disabilities 15 years and older.
