Applying for Financial Aid

• When applying for financial aid, a FAFSA application must be filled out.  The application can be found at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/  Details about this process can be found at http://www.sa.sdsu.edu/fao/

• YOU MUST COMPLETE THE financial aid application process EVERY YEAR in order to be considered for need-based aid.

• Please direct all questions about financial aid to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (http://www.sa.sdsu.edu/fao/Contact/contact.html)

• If you demonstrate need, as determined by the federal methodology of need analysis calculated through the aforementioned application process, you may be eligible to receive an Ed Doc grant.

• The maximum Ed Doc need-based grant for Ed Doctorate students can be no more than equal to the amount of mandatory system wide fees assessed of the student (academic year fees plus summer fees).
