Potential Students

The Educational Leadership Department at San Diego State University is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, PK-12 Concentration.
Review of Applications for Fall 2010 Admissions begins March 1, 2010.  CSU Mentor MUST be completed by February 1, 2010 to be considered.  All applications must be received in the department by the March 1, 2010 deadline.

This dynamic new program seeks to generate a significant impact on public schools through the preparation of transformative leaders.  The program will strive to develop leaders who are:

  • Experts in educational leadership
  • Critical thinkers informed by scholarly literature
  • Change agents
  • Self-aware, ethical professionals
  • Professionals who value and promote diversity

Throughout this 3-year professional doctorate program, carefully selected candidates work within small learning communities to develop the advanced research and leadership skills necessary for addressing complex problems of practice across local, regional, and national contexts. The program curriculum addresses practical and theoretical concerns related to teaching and learning, systemic education reform and transformation, and policy development within PK-12 institutions.
