Potential Students
The Educational Leadership Department at San Diego State University is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, PK-12 Concentration.
Review of Applications for Fall 2012 Admissions begins February 15, 2012. CSU Mentor MUST be completed by February 1, 2012 to be considered. All application materials must be received in the department by March 1, 2012.
Cohort 2 graduated this spring, summer and fall, completing their degrees in approximately three years. Nine of thirteen Cohort 1 graduates have received promotions or new positions that increase their sphere of influence within PK-12 schools and districts. Their dissertation research has great potential to influence and improve practice in PK-12 education. Dissertation titles include, for example:

A MIXED METHODS STUDY
Throughout this 3-year professional doctorate program, carefully selected candidates work within small learning communities to develop the advanced research and leadership skills necessary for addressing complex problems of practice across local, regional, and national contexts. The program curriculum addresses practical and theoretical concerns related to teaching and learning, systemic education reform and transformation, and policy development within PK-12 institutions.
