Patrick Davis is a retired executive recruiter. Prior to that he earned a Master in Social Work (MSW) in 1982 from Portland State University, providing clinical social services to the mentally challenged and drug addicted until 1985 on behalf of Mental Health Services of America (MHSA).
From 1985 and 2001 he served as an executive recruiter, ultimately owning his own firm. His client list includes numerous fortune 1000 companies, such as, General Electric, Fletcher Development of New Zealand, Pacific Power and Light, Waste Management, China Power and Light, Commonwealth of Edison, and the Oil and Gas Institute of America. The thrust of much of Mr. Davis’ activities was to assist corporate leaders in identifying highly qualified candidates who would create and implement strategic plans for specific organizational cultures, and prepare the next generation of employees for dynamic work environments.
Today, Mr. Davis focuses his career experience and energies on a broad range of issues and challenges facing adult learners in the 21st Century. He writes, develops curricula, and lectures at San Diego State University, several community colleges, and cities in north San Diego County.
