I.
Student Affairs/Services Professionals
The
purpose of this research agenda is to identify general characteristics
or competencies in student affairs/services professionals that senior
student affairs/services officers look for in the student affairs/services
professionals they hire and correlate those competencies with general
characteristics or competencies in student affairs/services professionals
that senior academic affairs/instructional services officers look
for in the student affairs/services professionals with whom they
work. A third correlation will also be conducted with the perceptions
of senior business affairs/services officers.
II.
Global Competencies in Student Affairs/Services Professionals and
other Administrators
The
purpose of this study is to identify global competencies in student
affairs/services professionals so that the preparation programs
can refine their curriculum in order to prepare student affairs/services
professionals to support and facilitate the student learning and
development of global citizens.
