Ridge Fire, Jardine Fire, Range 219 & 221 Fires

Camp Pendleton, Calif. - A brush fire burning in a remote area of a training range

on Camp Pendleton grew to 500 acres on Sunday, according to firefighters.

Ridge Fire
The Ridge Fire that started in the Whiskey Impact Area is showing no active fire activity. The brush fire started at approximately 1 p.m., Aug. 26 and has burned approximately 500 acres.

The Whiskey Impact Area is located in the Northeastern portion of the Base.

The area is being monitored and poses no threat at this time.

Case Fire (Formerly named the Jardine Fire)
A brush fire that started in the Jardine Canyon located in the Whiskey Impact Area is showing no active fire activity. The Case Fire started at approximately 12 p.m., Aug. 27 and has burned approximately 500 acres.

The Case Fire is located in the Northeastern portion of the Base approximately 10 kilometers to the Northwest of the Ridge Fire.

The area is being monitored and poses no threat at this time.

Range 219 & 221
A small brush fire in the Whiskey Impact Area in the vicinity of ranges 219 & 221 is showing no significant fire activity. The area is being monitored and poses no threat at this time.
