Course Sequence

FALL 2008

The certificat in institutional research, planning and assessment is a 12-unit certificate.  The courses should be taken in the following sequence:

First (Fall) Semester

ED 690           Methods of Inquiry         

                       (This should be taken before ARP 727, if possible.  If not possible, ARP                                 690  and 727 should be taken at the same time.)

ARP 727         Emerging Issues: Introduction to Institutional Research

Second (Spring) Semester

ARP 725         Institutional Planning, Analysis, and Assessment

Third (Fall) Semester

ARP 611         Program Development and Evaluation in Postsecondary Education

Fourth (Spring) Semester

ARP 760         Internship in Educational Leadership (research practicum)

IRPA Certificate Suggested Course Sequence (for those majoring in Postsecondary Educational Leadership)
