The application period began Monday, March 3, 2008, and the deadline for submitting scholarship applications and any required additional materials is May 5, 2008. Please circulate this email message and the attached flyer to the departments, schools, and programs within your college. We request that the flyer by posted in high-visibility locations in your college that have substantial student traffic. Students may search and apply for scholarships by visiting the Scholarship Search website at:

The California Pre-Doctoral Program is designed to increase the diversity of the pool of potential university faculty by supporting the doctoral aspirations of individuals who are:
Current upper division or graduate students in the CSU
Economically and educationally disadvantaged
U.S. citizens or permanent residents
Leaders of tomorrow
The program offers graduate students who are interested in doctoral programs the opportunity to explore doctoral study with the guidance of an SDSU faculty mentor. All details of this scholarship program can be found on www.CalState.edu/predoc. Applications are to be submitted through the Graduate and Research Affairs office. Applications are due in the Graduate Division office by March 27, 2007. We will review and recommend recipients to the CSU.
