Admission to the Graduate Program

SDSU has chosen to make February 1st the required deadline for graduate applications. That means that all students must have completed the CSU mentor application, departmental application, have the transcripts submitted, and completed the GRE by this date to be considered for fall admissions. We will no longer have the flexibility of admitting students at a later date.

(The next deadline to register for the GRE is December 12 for a Feb 6th test date. For more information, please check the offical GRE website.)

  1. Apply to SDSU on line at www.csumentor.edu.  There is a $55 filing fee.

  2. Send all official transcripts including those from transfer institutions to Graduate Admissions

  3. Complete the GRE and have the scores sent to SDSU.  Take the general test only. There is no required score for admissions.  The university only requires that you have a score.

  4. Complete the

  6. Send two letters of recommendation from two different people to the Program Office at the address above.

    Final application deadline is February 1st. Early application submission is encouraged. Completed applications will have priority consideration for graduate assistantships and tuition waivers. The program will admit 20 new students in 2010.
