Would
you like to recommend a candidate for the Rehabilitation Counseling
Program at SDSU?
Many of our best students and most successful professionals were
introduced to the Rehabilitation Counseling Program (RCP) by another
student. Would you help us identify potential future students?
Did you know that the RCP is consistently ranked among the top
10 rehabilitation counseling programs in the nation? You can feel
proud of the quality education you are receiving. Share the wealth!
Some of you are working in the San Diego area, and all of you have
friends and associates. You and your connections can benefit the
program by helping us identify qualified applicants. Better yet,
you can be a benefit to qualified friends by recommending them to
the program. We are interested in motivated people with a strong
commitment to supporting people with disabilities. Of course, applicants
will need to go through the regular admissions process, but your
recommendation helps us to identify good students; people like yourselves.
“What
happens when I recommend someone?”
We will contact that person by phone, mail, or email, and provide
them with information about the program.
“Will
I have to do anything?”
Neither you nor your friend has any obligation. Your recommendation
of one or more candidates will provide us with a pool of applicants
that are known and respected by you.
“How
will recommending someone help me or my friend?”
It simply gives your friend the opportunity to explore the graduate
program in rehabilitation counseling as an option, and you a chance
to shape the program for the future.
“What
will happen after the person is contacted?”
Your friend will be invited to visit us at Interwork. Questions
will be addressed, and the benefits of completing a Master of Science
degree through the RCP will be described. If the nominee decides
to apply for admission, faculty and staff will assist in that process.
“What
are the benefits?”
Benefits may include remitted tuition and monthly stipends for qualified
students. The most important benefit is the opportunity to complete
a graduate degree in a well-ranked, accredited program in Rehabilitation
Counseling
