Dave's background includes over 15 years of working in various treatment facilities including psychiatric hospitals, day treatment programs, group homes for emotionally disturbed children, and a center for juvenile delinquents. He has been working as a rehabilitation counselor for the last sixteen years, and is currently assigned to a supported employment unit and a transition partnership program. In addition to participation as a course Co-Instructor for the Distance Learning program, Dave is also working on a grant project with Interwork at San Diego State University (SDSU) called the "Point of Transition System Integration Project (POTSIP)". Dave is a part-time faculty in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program and has taught the on site Beginning Practicum Course for the past four years.
Dave earned his Doctoral degree from the University of San Diego Educational Leadership program in 2002; his Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from SDSU in 1986; and completed the certificate program for Post Employment Training in Rehabilitation Administration, also at SDSU, in 1995.
