Mari Guillermo joined the Interwork staff after obtaining her Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from San Diego State University in 1991. She has a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from the University of San Diego. She currently serves as the Project Coordinator for the Participatory Capacity Building Project, providing workshops and technical assistance for minority institutions to develop and submit competitive grant proposals. Mari is also responsible for the coordination of the Community Rehabilitation Program Continuing Education, specifically as it focuses on direct service delivery staff. She is also adjunct faculty at Grossmont Community College and teaches a Disability and Society class in both traditional and distance learning formats. Other responsibilities have included coordinating support for individuals moving from a sheltered workshop to community employment as well as students transitioning from school to adult life.
