Technology Recommendations

In order to receive and participate in class activities, students must have daily access to a computer with an Internet connection. General technology requirements include:

• Broadband Internet connection
• Email account
  • If you do not have one, you can get a web-based free email account such as Gmail
• A computer that runs a modern operating system (OS) such as a recent version of Windows for PCs or MacOS
• Web browser such as Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Safari
  • Downloads: Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Safari
• Recent version of Microsoft Office that contains at least MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; or alternative applications for word processing, slide presentations, and spreadsheets such as Google Drive
  • If you do not have Microsoft Office, you can still view files with the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint mobile apps. Visit the app store for your mobile device to download a copy.

NOTE: Special applications or technology requirements may exist. In such cases, students will be informed about the requirements at the beginning of the class.
