Interdisciplinary Bachelor's Degree
The BA Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences has a major in Interdisciplinary Studies in three departments: the School of Teacher Education, Dual Language and English Learner Education, and the Administration, Rehabilitation, and Postsecondary Education.
- This interdisciplinary degree has been specifically designed with coursework that will provide educators in the Republic of Palau with a strong foundation in research-based education philosophy and instructional methods.
- It consists of 120 semester units. Within those units, students must complete 50 units at a four-year college/university with the remainder being community college units. Additionally, there is a requirement to complete American Institutions and California Government courses.

A minimum of two courses (normally defined as six semester units) in each of the three departments selected in the major must be completed in the lower division as foundation for upper division courses. In departments where lower division offerings are insufficient to meet this requirement, the total minimum upper division requirement may be extended. A minimum of 36 upper division units must be selected from the three departments with no fewer than nine units from each of the three departments.
